Alpine Come visit the slopes where champions are made. The national team of slalom skiers train in Björnrike. There are also some competitions during the winter months. But the slopes are a great opportunity for the children to learn all manners of skiing on soft slopes, nicely prepared, with minimal risk of injury. Snowboard, downhill or cross country there is no limit to the fun you can have.

There are an abundance of slopes. You can buy ski passes, in addition to Björnrike these passes can also be used at Vemdalsskalet, Storhogna and Klövsjö.  This will give you access to 58 slopes and 35 lifts spread over 4 areas. Cross Country Skiing Track and tour information can be found here . There are 2km, 3km, 5km and 7.5km ski tracks for cross-country and free-style.  The track center is located above Björnrike Centrat There are tracks from the roads through the woods leading to the track center.  The tracks are also reachable by taking the Solliften located by Björnrike Centrat.  There is parking at Björnrike Centrat and along Slalomvägen close to the lift station above Björnrike Centrat.  There is also a 6 km groomed connecting track to Vemdalsskalet.    Ask at Björnrike Centrat for maps or click here for track maps.

There is also a 2km  lighted track for cross-country and free-style skiing located by the Nedre Nallehusen located at Bjornrike Torg. As time permits there is also a prepared 3.6km track to Vålkojans restaurang.

Transportation The Snöpendeln local bus service runs during the lifts’ opening hours in the daytime. The Snöpendeln bus services Röjan station, Klövsjö Village, Klövsjö ski area, Storhogna, Vargens Värdshus, Vemdalsskalet, Skalspasset/Pass Express, Vemdalen Village, Ekbergs, Björnvallen/Grizzly Express, Björnidet and Björnrike Centrat.
